Abstraction

"To look beyond the details and reduce work down to emphasize its primary qualities." This was my first school project. The aim was to move beyond details and identify a project's main characteristics. The students were tasked to analyze a work of art and transfer its essence to a room. To create a concept and to depict in a way that echoed the feeling of the artwork.

Property Makeover

"As visualizers, we must learn to study the existing material and see how we can highlight its potential but at the same time render it in an honest way." This was a school project and the assignment was to find a genuine real estate ad for a home in need of renovation. Using photos and floor plans from the ad, they created their own visualizations to show the home's potential. The aim was to furnish the home and select appropriate materials with the existing architecture and potential target group in mind.

The Chair

"Some objects are so familiar that they demand precision. Chairs are one of them. When proportions, materials, or details are off, you feel it immediately." In this assignment, first-year students modeled and textured a chair of their choice from scratch. Beyond form and materials, the focus was on camera and lighting. Poor choices here can undermine even the strongest design.

The Hotel

"In the hospitality industry, sensory impressions play a key role." This project is designed to challenge our students to explore more or less remote parts of the world and a sector where it is essential to convey strong concepts. Another equally important aspect of this project was learning how to work in a team setting. Whatever industry you work in as a visualiser, it's important to be able to collaborate. Looking at the collective qualities of the team, sharing resources and following a common structure is key if you want to become successful in this industry!

The Villa

In this project, we have worked from drawings by Intressanta Hus. We value authentic drawings as they prepare students for the industry they are about to enter. The assignment was to create attractive and accurate images based on the drawings they had selected and place the house somewhere in Scandinavia. They were given some artistic freedom in the choice of light and materials to allow them to make unique images for their portfolios. To give our students a good foundation in 3D and post-production, the projects are scaled up gradually over the time they study. This semester, the tasks are getting bigger and we are introducing more tools to prepare them for the internship in the coming autumn. During this project the students were introduced to some new tools such as V-Ray, Rail Clone and Forest Pack.

I'm a 36-year-old career-changer with a background in IT administration at the Administrative Court, where I spent years being the person people turned to - patient, helpful, and never one to say no to a new challenge. Now I'm channeling that same energy into architecture visualization, bringing a detail-oriented mindset and a genuine passion for atmosphere and storytelling to every render I create.

I'm all about vibes and moods. Good vibes, bad vibes, any vibes really - as long as it makes you feel something.
